Comment and get a Free Backlink - Mine is now a Dofollow Blog
I’ve now stripped off the nofollow attribute from links on the comments in my blog. Here’s a chance now to get a free back link from organicseo.in by just commenting to any of my posts. I’m sorry for those who have genuinely commented earlier to my posts, which were lost while I moved my blog from Rediff hosting to Dotster.
Comon’ just add a comment now, and get a quick free backlink

Congrats on joining the dofollow movement. We run several blogs - all of which are dofollow. It just seems to make more sense.

So, I don’t know if my blog (blogger) has nofollow or dofollow activated.
There’s a great blog called betabloggerfordummies (or something like that) that may have something about that.
I know that when a person comments on my blog, one can follow the comment to the person’s site, but I don’t know if spiders do it.

Hi José,
I think that your blog by default is set to “no follow”. So, If you wan’t to “give” your comentators a free backlink, you have to deactivate it. Just like the man on this site ;o) -

Yay! I love do-follow blogs and I’ll bookmark yours. Changing my newest blog to do-follow was the first thing I did after installing WordPress.
However, I don’t often see the backlinks from posting comments, only when blogs link to mine in posts. Hmmm…

There shouldn’t be any problem with your pagerank; but make sure that the link provided by those who comment doesn’t land on to a gambling, porn site, and other sites that are not family friendly.

Welcome to the club. My Blog is a do follow as well. I have taken the idea from LifeisColourful which is certainly a very succesful blog.
It just takes quite a few settings to keep all the SPAM out.

Well, in either case, you can still call it spam. Whether the visitor IS interested in your blog/post and comments with interest or not and just wants a link. In other words, it depends on the blog owner himself/herself whether (s)he is willing to appreciate the comments and accepting the links in exchange or just as a sign of appreciation, simple as that. If not, then by all means, removing the ‘URL’ field takes 2 seconds! Google that out. Don’t leave the URL and then judging people for spamming, most are not spamming, they post with interest and once they see the option of leaving their website URL, why not?
I’m all for DOFOLLOW or just remove the URL field! Don’t leave it with nofollow, that’s more a trick in making some people comment without interest. So anyway, all for dofollow,

Offcourse, not necessarily that all links will be active and get lots of traffic but it does matter that from which site/page the link is? Is that site/page visible frequently ? If yes, this link may be of helpful.
