Press Releases that helps in better Search rankings

With the growing commercial nature of the web it is becoming harder to get quality one way inbound links without spending a fortune. By submitting free or cheap press releases, you can build link equity without spending a ton of money.

Many people do recommend spending on PR Web or PR Leap to help your PR get quicker handling and a better rotation, but there are also a bunch of smaller press release sites on the web like the new prhere.com which can get you quality anchor text based inbound links to your site, which can help your search rankings move up quickly.

    Thanks for the insight on Press Release, I’ve tried directories, articles and even blog post. for my site but haven’t gave PR a shot yet. How useful are Press Release compared to the other things I’ve tried based on the quality of the link back to a site? (assuming the other site have similar stats).

    Google News results are like the most under-estimated and un-tapped resource for readers. You just have to email Google to get your blog accepted into Google News, and the traffic and readers you gain from it will be enormous.

    Most of our clients don’t know the importance of this, we need to educate the client about this. Our press release get about 5 to 10 releases a day.

    I am have been using PR with my sites it is very effective. There are many sources where you can send out press releases for free. For a small fee you can reach many more and gain tons of inbound links quickly.

    I have used PR before - I have a lot of sites centered around a specific niche - I have even emailed newspaper reporters and volunteered to be an expert and recieved a backlink in the on-line version of the newspaper

    I think that the internet is awash with people trying to make a fast buck. For those of us honest bloggers who create our own products and write genuine entries it is nice to be reminded of the pr option. In fact many sites will allow you to create a free pr and grab some great traffic. Thanks!

    We’ve used press releases in the past. The traffic effect has been modest, but the long term seo effects have been good. More people should be doing this.

    Press releases are definitely a good idea if you have the time to write them. Submitting them can get pretty pricey with companies like PRWeb or BusinessWire but there are free alternatives, too. (how good are they?)

    I do think it important that bloggers understand that a press release isn’t the same as an article.

    A press release should offer news value and answer the who, what, where, when and how questions.

    Additional press release should be objective – no adjectives exclaiming the greatness of what you offer.

    PRWEB is not cheap. Using a press release service and whether it is paid or not, and indeed even the level of paid all depends at the end of the day on ROI.

    Once you have calculated that, then pricing is immaterial to an extent.

    What does interest me though is if say one went purely for links/indexing a new site, the relative effectiveness of a free site to a paid site.

    well i think these offline marketing will cost us spend some good amount of bucks and most of us won’t spend it in first go… so online marketing is better because it requires only time and little of money far little than offline marketing like that of press release and PR
