$100,000 is a lot of money. I wonder how many people are going to entering this contest and if the chances of winning are going to be 1 in 1000 or much worse. I think I will be watching this contest to see who the best SEO is for this type of thing.

    Bring on the spammers :p

Seriously, it sounds like a cool idea, will also bring the winner lots of business I suppose and lots of lovely money. Mind you, if they are good at SEO then they should already be loaded, but more money wont hurt.

100,000 Dollars! That’s crazy. I wish I had good SEO skills, and could compete. It will be fun to watch though. It will also be interesting to see what the keyword is. Will it be a normal keyword, or something totally random. In other words will being the top keyword mean anything after the contest.

$100K sounds too good to be true, I’ll have to seriously consider trying to go for it.

I’m hoping that this contest will stay afloat. It seems that lately some of these have turned out to be scams, or didn’t finish. We shall see!

I can’t decide if I should follow this or enter this…WOW, what $100,000 could do for me! AWESOME idea!

$100 from each… 1000 of participants will be $100 each and that hosting company will be on the 1st place for “web site hosting” for example -) that means that everyone, every professional seo guru will pay $100 for that -)
and that sounds like a lottery in fact…

This contest offers the largest cash prize of any SEO contest to date, and should draw a number of web designers, seo professionals, internet marking gurus, and students who are seeking name recogonition and the largest cash prize ever offered for such a contest.

I also have heard about the SEO contest. A large one and in fact the biggest ever. A friend tried to e-mail the organizers and it’s been a week since that they never even dared to send back a reply. My friend was asking for details. I guess they don’t have the rules yet or something. I also heard that it was a politician who is sponsoring the SEO contest for campaign and generating buzz. Not sure if it’s true though.

It all depends of the term you’re requesting to rank. If you think that 100k in 2 months to rank a keyword like SEO or Viagra, then this contest is totally out of whack!

Are you going to have a security deposit in a bank so we can verify the authenticity of the price?

  18. Beaver Castle Said,

hhmmmm.. sounds like a good idea for a competition :)

$100,000, now that is something to work for. I can just imagine how many people will attack this, whether it is White Hat or Black Hat.

The website nukoo.com seem to be rather young registered on Jan 2008 and expire on Jan 2009. What kind of security can they provide us regarding the price money? Correct me if i am wrong. I went to nukoo.net and has not seen any relations or news that they are starting this contest. If you do know anything, let us know.

Do you think they’ll get enough people (1,000) to pay $100 to cover the payout?

  22. Xigre Contest Said,

    September 8, 2008 @ 2:31 am

:( well by that price my little contest seem very little. Many will probably try to outsmart search engines with some black hat techniques. But I wonder what kind of keyword would it be.

Once they get 1000 webmasters to sign up for that, the rest is pure profit for them!

  35. Free EBooks Said,

I don’t think their annual net profit is higher than 100.000$ …This might be a marketing trick.

Lol it’s a good ploy - they get $100 off everyone with a minimum of 1200 entries?

First off they get to pocket $20,000 themselves (nice one guys!) and probably get 1200 one way links from the best seo people in the prcess - I love it :)

I think I am going to offer a bigger $1 Million SEO prize and only charge everyone $1000 to enter that way I can pocket $200,000 and go shopping for some new shoes and a handbag

  39. Web Hosting Reviews Said,
