If the goal of seo is for a small unknown business to make a tremendous impact (and money) against strong and established brands, then I think that what and how the Obama campaign was run is worth study.
I am not advocating Barack Obama or any of his policies in this post.
Many conservative republican commentators in the media have remarked with admiration and respect for what the Obama campaign accomplished and how effective they were.
I guarantee you that the top business schools such as Harvard, Stanford etc will be doing case studies on this.
And for sure every Republican that plans to run for President in 2012 will learn from it as well.

It looks like Google trends was right! You have to take things like this with a pinch of salt thou, generally Obama’s supporters are more likely to use the interweb so it makes sense that it would be higher for Obama

I think America made the right choice this time. It’ll certainly be interesting to see if the GOP will be able to recover in time for a strong 2012 campaign. Then again, with the mess America (and the world) is in at the moment I don’t think they’ll be much of a honeymoon period for Obama.

Compete.com which tracks blog traffic had a nice comparison between traffic to the two candidate websites and you could really see that traffic was towards Obama’s site. He did run a tech savvy campaign.
